In a startling incident, Texas Congressman’s Democratic Representative Henry Cuellar fell victim to a carjacking in Washington DC on Monday evening, his office has confirmed. According to reports, three armed men were involved in the incident that occurred at the intersection of K Street and New Jersey Avenue in Southeast DC’s Navy Yard neighborhood, as per an alert from the DC Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency, as reported by CNN.
Fortunately, Representative Cuellar was unharmed during the incident, but the assailants made off with his car and other electronic equipment. this evening, three armed assailants approached Congressman Cuellar while he was parking his car and stole his car. He was fortunately unharmed and is cooperating with regional law enforcement. Thank you to Metro PD and Capitol Police for their swift action and for recovering the Congressman’s vehicle,” said Jacob Hochberg, his chief, in a statement.
